Confidential counsel for leaders at their most consequential moments.
When the stakes are
too high for misalignment
Senior biopharma leaders, and the leaders inside them, call on me when the stakes around evidence, access, or career transitions are too high to navigate alone.

Your value story is not landing with payers
When the evidence exists but the narrative does not connect, access decisions stall. I translate evidence into payer-relevant value communication grounded in U.S. and EU payer and reimbursement strategy.

Your evidence plan exists; the cross-functional behavior it should drive does not
Siloed evidence plans create costly gaps at HTA submission, and the deeper trap is treating the plan as the destination rather than the starting point. A rigorous plan is demanding work; it earns its value only when it drives aligned cross-functional behavior. I build integrated strategies that align clinical, HEOR (health economics and outcomes research), real-world, medical, and patient-focused evidence around a unified value narrative, alongside the operating cadence that keeps teams aligned to the decisions the evidence is built to inform.

EU HTA or JCA readiness is uncertain
New assessment frameworks demand new evidence strategies. I bring global perspective and HTA (health technology assessment) experience to prepare your dossier and your team for Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) submission.

You are at an inflection point that demands discernment
Leaders at consequential inflection points rarely have a confidential thinking partner with the depth to hold the moment. The Discernment Practice provides sustained coaching for the decisions that shape a leader’s next chapter.

Let's talk about what you are building, or where you are going.
If your team is navigating an evidence strategy challenge, preparing for an HTA submission, or working to embed patient voice in development, or if you are a leader at a consequential inflection point, I would welcome the conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
I work with senior leaders in biotech and biopharma, typically SVPs, Chief Medical Officers, and C-suite executives, and with the leaders inside those organizations who are navigating their most consequential career and team transitions. On the evidence side, I am most useful to teams building or strengthening their evidence strategy function ahead of a U.S. value or access decision, an EU health technology assessment (HTA) submission, or a Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) filing. On the coaching side, I work with leaders at inflection points where the right move is not obvious and the cost of getting it wrong is high.
Evidence strategy is the discipline of designing, generating, and translating the data and narrative that determine whether a medicine reaches patients and earns the access it deserves. The work spans the integration of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), real-world evidence, clinical, and medical streams around a unified value narrative, and the translation of that narrative for payers, health technology assessment (HTA) bodies, healthcare providers, and patients. Patient-focused evidence belongs at the core of the value narrative, not at its edges, and the strategy must build around it from the start rather than appending it at submission. The decisions that shape evidence are made long before the moment of submission. The strategy is the architecture that holds those decisions together.
On the evidence side, the work centers on value demonstration strategy, payer and reimbursement strategy, integrated evidence plan design, health technology assessment (HTA) and Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) readiness, and patient-focused drug development (PFDD) capability building. On the coaching side, The Discernment Practice centers on career inflection, role transition, post-acquisition integration, team architecture, and the leadership decisions where strategy, identity, and legacy converge.
Two pillars under one principle. The decisions that determine outcomes are made long before the obvious moment, whether the outcome is patient access or a leader’s next chapter. My evidence work brings twenty years across biopharma and consulting, with deepest experience in neurology, immunology, and rare disease across U.S. payer and EU health technology assessment environments. My coaching is The Discernment Practice, grounded in two decades of developing leaders and the senior seats where those decisions are made. The combination is uncommon in either field.
I work with a small number of clients at any given time, which protects the depth and full strategic attention that every engagement requires. Capacity for new evidence advisory and coaching engagements opens on a rolling basis. The introductory conversation is where we determine fit and timing together.
I am based in the Greater Boston area and work with clients across the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. Most engagements are conducted remotely, with periodic in-person sessions when the work calls for it.
